Who We Are

Ty Stevens - Executive Editor | Photographer | This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

tyTy is an adventure travel enthusiast, be it for play - whether on a mountain bike, expedition run, yoga retreat, or just plain exploring new places - or for work, providing public relations and marketing for clients, travel writing, or snapping photos. As a single dad, his favorite travel companion is often his 10-year-old son, Caleb. In his travels, he finds fulfillment in meeting new people, and discovering new places and perspectives the world provides.

He believes photography and writing provide engaging platforms to communicate the beauty, the commonality, as well as the diversity, and sometimes struggle that exists across mankind. Having spent 3 years with Adventure Sports Magazine, and then as a contributing photojournalist with publications such as Running Times, No Boundaries, Away.com, Livestrong.com and Runners World, he decided to take the leap and launch Adventure Traveler Online (ATO). He is excited about the staff at ATO and the mission they have laid out. It provides each and everyone the opportunity to share and learn from many talented individuals doing what they love. In his personal life, his motivation is to be a good listener, friend and father in the world.

Jenny Wilden - Managing Editor | Travel Correspondent

Jenny is an outdoor adventurer with serious wanderlust, and international travel is her drug of choice. A self-proclaimed gear and grammar nut, she enjoys editing and writing about destinations, dining, and recreation.

Snowboarding and horseback riding keep her centered, but she dabbles in everything from stand-up paddleboarding to rock climbing. As a lifelong foodie, festival-goer, and raceaholic, Jenny's travels encompass one, if not all, of these passions. She's a believer in the transformative power of distance running, and recently became a coach for girls at the nonprofit organization, Girls on the Run.

A Seattle University graduate with a degree in Journalism, Jenny is also the editor of Outdoor Sports Guide Magazine in Salt Lake City. Her work has been published in The Washington Times, Digital Scrapbooking, Simple Scrapbooks, Salt Lake City Weekly, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Zions Bank Community, and Wasatch Woman Magazine.
